Connor Townley, who was born in Blackburn, Lancashire, developed an early interest in making small sculptures. While studying at Blackburn College, he explored a wide range of materials and discovered a strong passion for three-dimensional work, this led to pursuing the Applied Art BA (Hons) at Wrexham University. In his Cradle series, traditional pottery techniques such as throwing, carving, and glaze chemistry are explored and combined to create contrasts of colour and texture.
