Zoë Slater

Zoë Slater is a ceramic artist whose work explores tactile, sculptural forms using dark clay bodies and reactive glazes. Drawing inspiration from plant biology and the natural environment, Slater uses the raw, earthy qualities of materials, allowing their inherent properties to shape the final form. Recently graduating with an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art, Slater now creates work from her studio in Scotland. Her practice focuses on the process-led interaction between material and maker, emphasising texture and the sensory experience.
