Tellurico
After completing a Master’s in Contextual Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2017, Francesco Pace founded Tellurico, a multidisciplinary design studio working across objects, installations, and spatial design.
Tellurico’s practice is rooted in the intersection of craft, folklore, and environmental research. The studio investigates how the identity of a place, its geological, historical, and social dimensions, can inform the making of contemporary design. Each project begins with a study of context, aiming to reveal the deep connections between material, memory, and culture.
Tellurico collaborates regularly with museums, cultural institutions, and international design galleries. His works have been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale, Van Abbemuseum, Ithra Museum in Dammam, Triennale Milano, M.A.D.RE. in Naples, Bröhan Museum in Berlin, and HKDI in Hong Kong, among others. He has developed collections and received commissions from prominent galleries such as Emma Scully Gallery (New York), Side Gallery (Barcelona), Mint Gallery (London), and Philia Gallery.
In parallel, he collaborates with design brands and institutions on site-specific installations and research-led projects that bridge tradition and innovation, functioning as a designer as well creative consultant.
Recognised with the Officine Saffi Award (2021), Tellurico has been named among the Best Italian Designers Under 40 by Platform Magazine (2020), featured in Elle Decor’s Next Pure Talents (2022), the AD20 List by AD Italia (2023), and included in Exibart’s 222 Artists and Designers to Invest In (2024).
Francesco Pace is also a lecturer in Product Design at NABA in Milan and lives and works in the Netherlands.
