EggshellCeramic© is a sustainable material derived from calcium-rich eggshell waste from the Netherlands’ egg industry, reformed into a strong, air-dried, fully biodegradable alternative to ceramics for decorative interiors and planters that can safely return nutrients to the soil at end of life.
Vase 51 is made from approximately 150 discarded eggshells, with sections coloured using biochar from OurCarbon, an eco-friendly regenerative pigment. Each piece is unique and one of a kind. Designed for dried flowers, the vase can be composted after use, enriching the soil with nutrients. Durable when kept dry, it demonstrates the strength and versatility of bio-based design.
