Slip Cast Glazed Stoneware, hand gilded with bright gold, Cherry base
Created to accompany Lilyfoot, this oversized hand-moulded stoneware spoon extends Shona Heath's imaginative narrative into a standalone sculptural object. Inspired by a spoon discovered at Ridley Road Market in East London and Italo Calvino's short story The Distance of the Moon, it reflects Heath's playful approach to scale, storytelling and everyday forms. Both functional in spirit and sculptural in presence, the spoon complements Lilyfoot while possessing a distinctive character of its own.
