Lilyfoot is Shona Heath’s first limited-edition exhibition piece with 1882 Ltd. Standing 3ft high, the sculptural stoneware lamp takes the form of a mythical creature sheltered beneath a stalk adorned with decorative leaves and glowing orbs, including a luminous bubble at the tip of Lilyfoot’s trumpet. Accompanying the work is a giant hand-moulded spoon, inspired by an object Heath discovered at Ridley Road Market in east London and Italo Calvino’s short story The Distance of the Moon. Together, the pieces form a playful and imaginative pairing that blurs the line between sculpture, storytelling, and functional design.
