Jane Wright is a designer/maker born in Brussels. Living and working across different cities, her multilingual approach fosters the cross-pollination of cultures and references. Trained as both product and textile designer, she challenges boundaries of these disciplines, seeking for unexpected combinations of materials and processes.

Jane Wright’s work often plays with the stereotypes associated with materials and processes. This leather rug is approached through garment construction techniques, balancing material strength with visual softness. Hand-knitted in dark brown leather, the rug develops an almost chainmail-like effect. Embroidered flowers and cast white bronze charms continue her exploration of the flower motifs through contemporary and traditional lace.
