Jane Wright

Jane Wright is a designer/maker born in Brussels. Living and working across different cities, her multilingual approach fosters the cross-pollination of cultures and references. Trained as both product and textile designer, she challenges boundaries of these disciplines, seeking for unexpected combinations of materials and processes. In her latest series, she reinterprets traditional lace making techniques through hybrid objects exploring lace’s interaction with light. By mixing needle work, machine lace and cut-out steel, each piece oscillates between modern and provincial-inviting viewers to reflect on themes of heritage, nostalgia, and domesticity.
