This Bench embodies Studio Fabius Clovis’ material-driven approach to design, where discarded and everyday materials are transformed into functional objects with a strong sculptural presence. Based in the Netherlands and led by Pepijn Fabius, the studio works through an intuitive, hands-on process that uncovers the latent value and character of residual materials.
Balancing utility with expression, the chair is defined by its bold, totemic form and honest construction. Its composition reflects an exploration of structure, proportion, and material integrity, allowing ordinary matter to take on a renewed purpose. Standing as both a practical piece of furniture and a study in transformation, celebrating the beauty, potential, and resourcefulness found in the everyday.
