Maison Nazanin
Nazanin Farahbod was born in Iran. She studied software programming, and art and architectural design in Tehran, before moving to Italy (and became an Italian citizen) in 2003 where she took two further degrees in industrial and product design in Milan. In Italy, she set up and ran a company specializing in product inspection and standards compliance in the import-export business. She later moved to London and became active in the design world, working for Studio Waldemeyer on lighting design. She is also an accomplished artist. Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts.
Adam Bennett was born in in London. He trained initially as an architect at Cambridge University, but switched to philosophy and economics and continued his studies at the London School of Economics. His career took him first to the Treasury in London and thence to the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC. He travelled to many countries, mostly in the Middle East, and lived in Cairo for two years. In his retirement, he spent six years at Oxford University and also served for many years on various committees at the Royal Academy of Arts, where he got to know numerous artists – including Nazanin.
Together, Adam and Nazanin founded the company Maison Nazanin Ltd in October 2024, to launch its first Collection in October 2025.
