Designer and architect, he believes in the project as a tool to spread poetry in the world of things. Director of the Domus Academy Master in Design, he was part of the Olivetti Design Studio. He founded FRAGILE, the well-known Italian studio of brand design, designing corporate identity systems for international banks, companies and institutions.
He designs products for Addo, Alessi, Alias, Artemide, Caimi, De Castelli, Hand on Design, Hansa, Ichendorf, Numa, Pasabahçe, Salvatore Ferragamo.
In 2016 he won the Compasso d’Oro with the Ossidiana coffee maker for Alessi.
In 2019 he held his first solo exhibitions: “Mario Trimarchi: un romantique radical” at the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris.
In 2022 he was awarded the Targa d’Oro by the UID, Unione Italiana Disegno.
