Victor Hahner is a German artist & designer working on unique pieces. His studio is based in the East of Germany.
Inspired from material and craftsmanship he creates objects and sculptural furniture.
Victor is born and raised in the South of Germany. Since his childhood Victor is discovering, playful, the world through material and curiosity. Together with his sister he grew up aside their father in his workshop, playing and creating. This spirit in those early days taught him, that there´s always an own way to build or fix things. The energy of making something new and to unleash your imagination was his favorite playground.
Victor studied jewelry and object design at the Pforzheim University of Design, where he learned to combine traditional craftsmanship with his artistic expression through his studies in gold and silversmithing. From the beginning of his studies, Victor followed his intuition and worked, detached from the limitations of jewelry, in atypical scales and combinations of materials and technology.
In 2019 he started working for Valentin Loellmann. His work as an assistant to Valentin reinforced his sense of design and taught him a lot. Here he worked on international interior design projects in Paris, London and Amsterdam, as well as on sculptural works and furniture.
Right after graduating Victor build up his own studio, where he is working on unique pieces. He is concerned with his environment, how the environment in which he lives affects him and how he in turn affects it. Victor equates the sculptural statement of his work with the function and deals with our handling and the relationship to the objects, furniture and art that surround us. Through material, feel and shape, he makes it his goal to create a conscious handling and appreciation for the objects that surround us every day.
