Coastal Villa in Cap d’Antibes, South of France
An exciting project to completely furnish and style a recently refurbished waterfront villa in the South of France.
The villa was originally designed in 1937 by the American architect Barry Dierks, an esteemed member of the Modernist Movement. Dierks was active in France, principally on the French Riviera, where he was commissioned on numerous occasions to design impressive villas for affluent clients.
The styling was intended to blend seamlessly with the client’s existing collection, adding contrasts in textures and colourful accents to stimulate the property’s minimal interior. The abundance of natural sunlight was intensified to create a bright living space perfect for entertaining all year round. Equal attention was paid to the vast outdoors to create open air living areas. The same mood was carefully carried into the interior resulting in a blend of comfort, colour and light; a seamless synergy between indoor and outdoor spaces.
