It’s International Women’s Day!

Mint is celebrating this special day with French designer, Blanche Vivet and her beautiful collection of textiles. Titled “Why don’t you throw it away?” her woven illustrations show how textiles can evolve—from a curtain to a jacket, and then a pillowcase. Rather than discarding or storing items, Vivet invites us to actively engage with them, allowing fabrics to grow and live again. This project challenges our disregard for both what we throw away and what we keep but never use, emphasising the importance of actively conserving rather than passively preserving.
