Alien Collection

Remy van Zandbergen’s distinctive style, characterised by innovative materials and meticulous construction, brings modularity and technical precision to his designs. Based in The Netherlands, he founded Studio Remy in 2014, emphasising a playful approach in working primarily with wood and ceramics. The Alien Collection features vessels constructed through a modular system, stacking individual blocks to create unique vases. Remy’s process, akin to a child building a tower, tests the limits of casting clay, resulting in moulds with distinct identities. This modular system not only allows design iterations but also allows Remy to follow his intuition to achieve the perfect form.
