The Anvil console is made of ‘Scagliola’, an imitation marble or stone made of plaster mixed with glue and dyes which is then polished. Scagliola has been used since Roman times and was popular in the 18th century to imitate marble. This sculptural console is a bold and contemporary approach to the old technique, cast in two parts that can be swapped around to change the shape. Edition of 8.
