Clay, glaze with nepheline syenite and chromium oxide
Hand-built using the slab technique, each stem is shaped and assembled by hand to form a sculptural bouquet. Glazed with a blend of nepheline syenite and chromium, the surface reveals green tones with subtle mauve and deep pink variations created by tin and chromium oxide. Inspired by the European, particularly French, tradition of asparagus-shaped ceramics, the piece offers a contemporary reinterpretation of a historic form.
