Daniel Van Lierop is an emerging designer whose practice explores the meeting point between industrial processes and hands-on craft.
The Bead Stool is composed of laser-cut and folded aluminium, extrusion and standardised fixings, the stool’s brutal industrial form is softened through the introduction of a hand-woven beaded upper. The beading brings warmth, tactility and softness to an otherwise rigid construction.
