Clear transparent and opaque glass
The Block Vase is an experimental glass vessel shaped using a mould made from twelve irregular, movable wooden blocks. Inspired by the segmented sculptures of Polish artist Roman Tarkowski, the process allows the form to be altered during making, creating unique asymmetrical structures. Transparent and opaque glass distort and fragment the flowers within, producing a blurred, painterly effect.
