Brace Rug

Brace features a bold, over-sized grid in a pared back, mono-colour palette. The grid is visible through contrasting textures of eucalyptus fibre. Areas of low, looped pile boast a curly, sheen in contrast to longer, velvet and fringe sections. The simple graphic gains complexity through materiality, resulting in a kind of ‘textural plaid’. The central grid graphic extends beyond the rug’s outer perimeter, bringing it a step closer toward ‘object’ territory. Bold in graphic form, but gentle in colour, Brace is an exercise in tactility and restraint with subtlety and nuance employed to showcase the luxury of the material.
