Recycled newspaper, Jesmonite
The Burnout Console combines Jesmonite and recycled newspaper. After the Jesmonite is cast the artist “burns” the object resulting in a sculptural and brutal console with textured legs. The contrast between the burned and the well-polished surface adds to the quality of the piece.
