Camouflage Cabinet

The organic form of this cabinet is inspired by footsteps in the sand. The distinct texture is achieved by revealing the many layers within the birch plywood by carving ripples into its surface creating a fluid dynamic and poetic motion to basic building material. The piece is left in its natural raw form highlighting the texture and the tactile quality of the piece. The cabinet is composed of three shelves, two lower draws, and a secret compartment hidden in one of the legs.
