The process for this intricate structure utilises moisture absorbing foam structures dipped in liquid porcelain. This process deforms the foam structures under the weight of the added clay. The making of these candle holders are a continuous back and forth between natural force and creative interventions. After the wet raw material is shaped, the product is dried and then baked at temperatures up to 1240°C. Finally, it is given a layer of coloured glaze or engobe. Perfectly capturing the creative forces created between natural materials and artistic vision.
