Repurposed Glass
This collection of glass works employs a range of material processes to speak to the fragility of the ecosystem. The artist begins by sourcing and repurposing glass bottles, then utilises ceramics as a vessel to shape and contain the glass fragments. By subjecting the fragments of glass to the firing process, they conform to the ceramic vessels. Once the ceramics are removed they leave behind a transformed form. The result symbolises the vulnerability of our ecosystems, highlighting the imperative need for sustainable practices.
