The Gravity Bowls are shaped by dipping them in liquid porcelain clay. They are then hung to dry, with the weight of the clay pulling the form downward. This creates a gravity-defying effect. As the wet clay drips, the bowl hardens into its final shape. Due to this transformative process, each bowl is unique. The construction of the bowls is inspired by architecture, particularly the use of buttresses and parabolic forms. This architectural influence is reflected in the way the clay supports itself and creates dynamic, fluid structures, giving each Gravity Bowl its distinctive shape.
