Originally designed in 1954 by Swiss designer Willy Guhl for the Swiss manufacturer Eternit, the Loop Chair is an icon of modern garden furniture. Formed from a continuous ribbon of fibre-reinforced cement, the design achieves a fluid, sculptural silhouette that feels both light in line and quietly monumental.

This early version retains a raw, authentic surface bearing the traces of time, exposure, and use. A protective lacquer has been applied in accordance with recommendations from Eternit to stabilise and preserve the material while respecting its patina.

Though equally striking indoors, the chairs come alive outdoors, where concrete meets stone, grass, or earth. Over time the material continues to weather gracefully, developing subtle tonal variations and a character that allows the pieces to settle naturally into their surroundings.
