Christine Petrou is a trained architect with studies in London and Cyprus. Her passion for furniture design led her to create timeless pieces that bridge historical narratives with contemporary aesthetics. She became fascinated by how furniture can transform spatial narratives and stand as a form of art within a space. In 2019, she founded Studio Christine Kalia.

The MOON SOFA series was born from the idea that design, like the lunar phases, should be ever-evolving—versatile, reflective, and endlessly adaptable. This silver, mirror-finish, deadstock fashion material modular sofa embodies that philosophy, with its fluid, celestial-inspired forms echoing the soft curves and enigmatic glow of the moon. A statement piece yet inherently adaptable, it invites the viewer to lose themselves in its seamless design, much like gazing into the infinite vastness of the cosmos. Composed of three distinct modules (A,B,C), the sofa can be reconfigured into multiple shapes, offering various possibilities for spatial composition.
