This furniture collection is inspired by Czech Art Nouveau aesthetics and interÂdisciplinary artists of the time, such as Frantiek Blek, who was best known as a fine artist who worked in sculpture and graphics. However, he also designed his own villa, complete with all of its interior furnishings. The villa is an excellent example of Gesamtkunstwerk, in which all elements are seamlessly interconnected to create a single work of art. This inspired the designers to combine design and drawings, blurring the lines between applied and fine arts.
The designer etches into the sculptural furniture using a woodÂburning technique common during the time period mentioned. These influences can be found in the limited collection of collectible furniture, which includes both the design and the craftsmanship. This collection is hand-crafted in the Czech Republic.
