Out of Clay

Gabriela Flores Morales (or Prieta.mx) is a Tijuana, México born artist and Designer who has found her medium in clay. For Morales, fired clay becomes a surface that records gestures, strokes, and impressions; holding them permanently within its form. Out of Clay is a hand-built stoneware side table inspired by the idea of constructing a home through repeated, intentional touch. The piece retains the physical marks of its maker. Its textured surface and sculptural silhouette invite both interaction and contemplation, transforming afunctional object into one that carries memory and emotion.
