From their studio, lab and workshop in rural Wiltshire, they design and make idiosyncratic furniture, objects and structures that speak to their fascination with experimentation, form and materiality. Their design approach is shaped by the emotional resonance an object or environment carries and the story of how it came to be. This springs from a deep sensitivity to, and understanding of, material and form, alongside an open-ended creative process that encourages a continuous line of questioning between material and maker. The Plane Collection takes inspiration from the different expressions of grain found in hardwoods such as oak, sycamore and ash.
