Furniture created using a controlled burning process. The charred surfaces preserve the natural patterns and textures of the wood, resulting in unique variations in each piece. Maarten Baas developed this technique to explore the effects of fire on wood, capturing the transformation of the material during the process. Each object is one-of-a-kind, reflecting the specific way the flames interacted with the wood.
