The Scent of Time is inspired by tending a small garden beside the Seonhong Im’s studio in Korea. Observing the cycles of growth and decline shifted her focus from preserving nature to quietly experiencing its rhythms. Through repetitive hand-building and the gradual joining of porcelain elements, the work explores time, care, attention, and healing, translating the quiet sensations of the garden into delicate ceramic forms.
