The designer uses porcelain Rococo and kitschy figures, engulfing them in deposits of a bubbling lava glaze, turning them to anonymous objects. He creates fossils of time in order to conceal both kitsch and historical styles. The lava glaze creates a special bubbling layer by silicon carbide and makes each statue unique.
