The Woven Armchair is the result of a close study of the Kvadrat Canvas textile. The designer was inspired by the strength that weaving imparts to the fine wool fibres, the tactile quality, and the optical effects of unexpected colour combinations. Each different strip of metal has been covered in a different colour of the Kvadrat Canvas textile, adding to the feeling of softness. A solid powder-coated steel base provides a structure for the woven pieces helping to create the finished shape.
