'Fragmentis' is a series of mixed-media sculptures by Masao Rong that reimagine traditional lacquer techniques in a contemporary context. Using reclaimed wood from century-old buildings, the works preserve natural weathering while introducing smooth, reflective finishes. Abstracted from architectural remnants, the forms explore themes of impermanence, transformation, and decay. By bridging Eastern and Western sensibilities, Fragmentis invites quiet reflection on time, material, and meaning.
