Hedera Wall Shelf Series

A collection inspired by climbing plants and their remarkable ability to cover entire surfaces or grow meters high by winding around trees or other objects. Ivy (Hedera), a fast-growing, woody plant found all over the world, embodies this idea perfectly. Its young shoots are slender, flexible, and equipped with rootlets to cling to surfaces, while its mature branches become thick, selfsupporting, and rootless. This concept of an organism growing over something else became the foundation for the Hedera Collection.
Onno envisioned furniture being overtaken by another form. How would that appear? Is it a fusion of two entities, or does one clearly take control? Could the growing form eventually stand alone, or would it always need its host?
