Fungi Desk

This desk is made of resin and a single wood plank obtained from a Beech log with its native populations of fungi, recovered from the Italian Dolomite forest. The plank is cut into two parts and joined together so that corners of the wood-grain match perfectly. The natural surface of the bark, along with the vegetation that has grown on it, is preserved using a special resin formulated by the designers. This process freezes this section of wood in time.
