Laser cut bamboo veneer sheets, smoked glass top
Created using an innovative technique, Daan's furniture requires only small amounts of veneer, economically stacked to create hollow, conical objects which minimises material usage and reduces waste compared to traditional wood forming techniques. By laser-cutting or water jetting bamboo sheet material into concentric layers and meticulously assembling them by hand, De Wit creates organically shaped objects which are finished with a smoked glass top, for an elegant aesthetic.
